Feb. in Ft. Myers and Orlando

Friends, Colleen and Andy pay a visit from Chartwell. Thinking about cruising in Florida in the future.
Wes DeMott and his wife during HH at Legacy Marina sharing his amazing story. Wasfariri was docked for a month at Legacy.  Wes and 2 buddies left Ft. Myers traveling on Wes' 38 ft. trawler, Wasfariri to Cancun. While under way, winds increased to an unpredicted 50 mph. Wes was towing a 13ft tender whose line wrapped around the prop and fouled the rudder.  The boat turned beam to the waves when the 800 pound water tanks came loose slamming the bildge. Wes raised a Carnival Cruise ship which offered assistance.  The crew and few possessions were taken aboard the cruise ship and Wes had to abandon his boat.

John Luhrs' (of the Luhr's Group) 85ft. Burger. For my non boating frineds, the Luhrs group owns Mainship, Silverton, Luhrs Fishing Boats and Hunter Sailboats. He personally docked his yacht behind us while his captain did the lines. His Captain invited us for coffee, but latter said that Mr. Luhrs was not up for company. The next day, John Luhrs called Tom,  and they spoke about 10 minutes about Mainships.
